Pontiac is no more and has ceased being

Pontiac has formally ceased to occur, after being planned for shut down last year. GM had to get rid of the underperforming brand names it held, and Pontiac unfortunately went the way of the Dodo. General Motors also laid Saturn, Hummer, Opel, and other brands to rest along with it. Pontiac had more than 70 years of history. Pontiac, once the near symbol of Detroit automotive muscle, was heralded for its serious performance at seriously great prices. Source for this article – Pontiac has officially ceased to exist by Car Deal Expert.

Pontiac is no more

During its bankruptcy, General Motors got rid of some car brands. Pontiac had been one of these. The brand had been suffering as of 2008, and GM decided to allow Pontiac to pass away. As of Sun, Pontiac no longer exists as a corporate entity, as outlined by USA Today. General Motors wasn't doing anything right when it came to the car since Pontiac was simply being put into Chevrolet and Buick models. The muscle cars known and loved are often Pontiacs as there is a lot of raw horsepower in them within the last 1950s and 1980s.

Cars in the past

Working class families were targeted with the Pontiac within the first place. They were launched in 1926. By the 1950s, sales were struggling and General Motors decided it had been time to rethink the brand. The Pontiac GTO, which is the epitome of Detroit muscle cars, had been introduced in 1965 after Pontiac cars began to be known for racing. The GTO, or “Gran Turismo Omolagato,” was inspired by Italian sport tour cars. John DeLorean got a small team together which put a 389-cubic-inch engine under the hood with a Tempest frame. The car became very popular. This is why, in 1968, 17 percent of GM sales originated from this car. By the 1980s the brand lost the horsepower focus although there were other successes like the Pontiac Trans Am of the Firebird line.

Then it went down

Sales showed that Pontiac had left the performance it was known for from the 1980s to the 2000s. As of 2008, fewer than 275,000 were selling annually. Most are sad to determine Pontiac go. It wasn't living up to its legend anymore anyway.

Charlie Villanueva a cancer sufferer, states KG

Kevin Garnett is one of those National Basketball Association players who brings additional fire to his game, even verbal fire. He is arguably the current poster child for trash talking in the NBA. During a recent blowout win over the Detroit Pistons, however, the Celtics main man pushed the junk talking envelope too far, writes ESPN. An after-game tweet by Pistons forward Villanueva revealed that "KG called me a cancer patient." Apparently Garnett thought it had been fine to bash Villanueva for his complete insufficient hair. The Detroit Pistons have confirmed that Villanueva was the tweeter in question, but that’s all they have said, pending further investigation. Article resource – Tweet – KG called me a cancer patient, says Charlie Villanueva by Personal Money Store.

Charlie Villanueva has other NBA players bald too

The follicly challenged condition Charlie Villanueva has is different than other like Kevin Garnett who shaves his head in the NBA. The condition Villanueva has involves hair loss. It is known as alopecia universalis. Hair is something not on his head. Kevin Garnett looks this way too. Yet in contrast to Garnett, Charlie Villanueva takes references to cancer seriously.

"I’m pissed because, u know how lots of people died from cancer, and he’s tossing it like it is a joke,” Villanueva said. This was on Twitter. “I wouldn’t even trip about that, but a cancer patient; I know way 2 many people who passed from it."

Not stopping there with Charlie Villanueva

Despite the 23-point drubbing the Celtics handed the Pistons, Charlie Villanueva was not ready to back down from Garnett’s comments. There are good signs that blows might happen as shown in more Villanueva tweets. There haven't been any comments from the team or league yet although the NBA is sure to intervene along with the Pistons if anything were to happen.

Figuring out what alopecia universalis is

Alopecia universalis (aka alopecia) is a rare autoimmune disorder that involves rapid hair loss, as outlined by Wikipedia. This includes eyebrows and eyelashes in the condition’s most advanced form, alopecia areata. There isn't any treatment for alopecia which can start showing up at any age. Alopecia universalis is something 1 in 100,000 people have. Charlie Villanueva happens to be one of these. Edith Bouvier Beale, Standard Oil magnate John D. Rockefeller and David Ferrie, previous CIA operative who worked with Lee Harvey Oswald in the Civil Air Patrol and worked on the Cuban Missile Crisis, have all had the disease too.

Keith Olbermann back again in seat, requires apology

The Keith Olbermann media ethics scandal appears to have been blown away by the mighty wind of Mr. Olbermann himself. The "indefinite suspension" brought down over Olbermann’s admission that he contributed to three Democratic candidates was initially thought to are levied due to violation of NBC’s media ethics policy. At least, that’s the story circulating. However, Mediaite reports the real reason MSNBC tried to muzzle Olbermann is because he did not apologize on cue. Now the "Countdown With Keith Olbermann" host is demanding an apology from his network for the embarrassment of it all.

Keith Olbermann: No more the master of MSNBC

Mediaite accounts that MSNBC network sources have confirmed Keith Olbermann had been indeed suspended for not offering a visible mea culpa over the political contributions scandal. Although Rachel Maddow certainly is doing better in the 25- to 54-year old demographics, Olbermann has a ton of ratings also. Mediaite explains that Olbermann likely just lost it all which he used to have.

The requirements he made

The way MSNBC treated Olbermann has left him really offended. It had been explains by Popeater what really takes place. MSNBC always submitted to Olbermann's demands.

"Keith sees himself as the star of MSNBC, the person who put them on the map and discovered Rachel Maddow and Lawrence O’Donnell," said a network insider. "To be treated like this… he considers disgusting."

Having pay reinstated is something Keith Olbermann demands takes place soon. He also said that, so as to be more like FOX News, the business changed its rules and policies. Fox News anchors are able to be a part of politics. Contributions are perfectly acceptable.

Based on McCain, journalist rules do not apply here

In her recent The Daily Beast column, Meghan McCain argues that such suspensions of on-air talent is foolhardy, whether it be at MSNBC, FOX News or anywhere else. "Keith Olbermann is not a journalist," she writes. She claims he is an informative and opinionated entertainer as a commentator.

"The real issue at hand is that journalists have to decide if they think about themselves journalists or commentators," McCain explains. She says that Cable News Network can have ratings go down as it has taken the "middle path" on every little thing. What do individuals want? Entertainment.

30 tons of cannabis grabbed in Mexico canal bust

The Mexico canal is not exactly a marvel of engineering. The Mexico tunnel is a weed smuggling passageway linking San Diego and Tijuana. The Feds came down on the 1,800-foot long Mexico tunnel this week and seized 30 tons of pot.

Mexico tunnel might are dug by a drug cartel

The Mexico tunnel was a path between warehouses in San Diego and Tijuana. Drug smugglers stored their stashes in these warehouses. The sophistication of the Mexico tunnel and the cost of digging it suggests that the operation is associated with a Mexican drug cartel. Tuesday was when the Drug Enforcement Agency began its investigation. It only happened because, near the Mexican border, a semi-trick that looked suspicious had been leaving a warehouse in an industrial area. A Border Patrol checkpoint stopped the truck. Inside, 10 tons of marijuana had been found. The DEA agents were then responsible to raid the warehouse to determine what had been there. Another 10 to 15 tons of weed were found.

Finding $20 million in pot

A closet in a small opening in the floor had been where the DEA agents found the Mexico tunnel. The passageway that was found had been lighted and ventilated. It had been 20 feet under the ground and six football fields long. Another warehouse in Mexico was at the end of the tunnel. Mexican authorities were alerted and another 4 tons of marijuana were seized south of the border. The DEA estimates marijuana it confiscated is worth $20 million on the street.

Drug traffic won't stop

The Mexico tunnel is one of many found since a crackdown on drug smuggling has forced the drug cartels underground. In Mexican history, the largest drug bust happen in Tijuana last month when Mexican authorities found 150 tons of marijuana. The Christian Science Monitor, nevertheless, questioned whether or not the recent seizures would make a difference in stemming the torrent of illegal drugs flowing across the border from Mexico to the U.S. The Monitor's Sarah Miller wrote her opinion on it. She said that the Mexican government has just a PR victory. Miller ended up with an angry letter from the Mexican U.S. ambassador because of this.

Research shows CT scans cut down on lung cancer deaths

Lung cancer is the Grim Reaper’s best friend, killing more people within the United States of America than any other cancer. The simplest way to prevent cancer of the lung is to never smoke or quick smoking. People who insist on smoking may survive by detecting lung cancer early with a CT scan testing, which has proven to be more effective than a standard chest x-ray.

Lung cancer deaths lowered 20 percent with CT scans

A lung cancer study by the National Cancer Institute found that screening smokers and previous smokers with a CT scan once a year reduced deaths from the disease by 20 percent. Middle aged or older smokers or ex-smokers who had smoked a pack a day for at least 30 years were tracked. 53,000 people were watched. Those with a regular chest x-ray were compared to those who had annual low-dose helical computed tomography or CTs. The NCI had to stop the study early though. The results were so strong that letting the people in the study know had been important.

Lung cancer screening creates CT scan obstacles

The study forgot to address some obstacles that occur with the CT scans for lung cancer. A primary consideration is the cost of a CT scan for lung cancer screening, which is not presently covered by Medicare and most health insurance companies. A chest CT scan costs $1,800 as an average according to newchoicehealth.com. Most plans do cover the standard chest x-ray for lung cancer which only costs an average of $370 anyway. There is also radiation. About 15 times more radiation is put into a patient with a low-dose CT scan than with a chest x-ray. From time to time a CT scan will discover things that are considered suspicious anomalies. These aren't tumors some of the time.

Lung cancer death could be stopped with screening by a CT scan

80 million within the U.S. are smokers. Currently, 85 percent of patients with lung cancer die because it is diagnosed too late. CBS News reports that 67-year-old Steffani Torrighelli understood she had been a high risk for lung cancer after 50 years of smoking. Two years ago she had been part of the study. She did this on her own. At her first annual CT scan for lung cancer screening, an early stage tumor had been detected before any lung cancer symptoms emerged. It has been two years and after having the tumor removed, Torrighelli has no cancer and will continue to do her lung cancer screenings via CT scans.

$40 million Holocaust reparations scam shocks planet

NBC New York reports that Germany’s government has been subject to a $40 million-plus Holocaust scam the likes of which has never been seen. Based on reports by law enforcement, thousands of individuals with no legitimate claim to Holocaust reparations were paid. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has indicated that it had been an inside job at the Conference On Jewish Material States.

Kickbacks part of the Holocaust scam

Since 1994, perpetrators who worked for the Conference On Jewish Material Claims had signed off on bogus applications submitted by a group of over 4,000 Russian immigrants in exchange for various kickbacks. Homes and possessions were supposedly lost during the Nazi oppression by these immigrants. That is the claim they've made that hasn't been seen yet. So far, 17 people are charged within the Holocaust scam.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation explains that a ton of Holocaust reparations claims were filed. About 4,957 are reported. $18 million was stolen with these says. Also, another 658 Holocaust scams cases ended up with losses of $25.5 million.

"It is an affront to human decency," based on chair of the Conference. This is Julius Berman.

What happened within the Holocaust rip-off

Russians alive and were impacted by Nazi war crimes were people those within the Jewish Holocaust scam were trying to find. They put ads in Russian-language newspapers in order to do this. The Federal Bureau of Investigation said that the perpetrators duplicated parts of legitimate applications and used them to create different false applications which were in turn signed off on without question by Conference On Jewish Material Claims members on the take.

Money needed from someplace for the Holocaust scam

NBC New York writes that the "Hardship Fund" had been one of those Jewish Holocaust reparations resources targeted. That fund paid eligible individuals $3,600 in a lump sum if they could prove they lost their homes and were in hiding during World War II. A separate fund paid up to $21,000 per year, per individual for many who could prove they had lived under harsh conditions due to Nazi occupation and policies.

Rumors are plentiful of a new Barracuda

Americans love muscle automobiles, and also the next to come back might be the Barracuda. Retro styles are being revived. Performance cars are given old looking facelifts. The return of classics entices people. One of probably the most anticipated to come back has been the Barracuda. There’s a hitch, of course. Plymouth hasn’t existed in almost a decade.

The rumor of a Barracuda coming back

SEMA or Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show had an appearance, USA Today reports. Roger Gilles, design head of the Chrysler organization and head of Dodge, made an appearance. Only people within the auto industry are able to show up to the event. New projects had been a question he had been asked. Barracuda was something he happened to mention. For a long time, people kept asking him about it. Bringing it back is something he seems serious about. This doesn’t guarantee the return of the Barracuda, but it wouldn’t be the worst move to make. The Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro both have had retro updates. There had been also the successful return of the Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger. Plymouth no longer exists though which made the Barracuda initially.

The MOPAR muscle

The Barracuda made by Plymouth was pretty popular. This is true especially with the muscle cars that went around. Everyone loved Plymouth. This had been since the cars were cheap and performed well. You can get a 273-cubic-inch V8 or 6-cylinder within the first generation which cost about $2,500 from 1964 to 1966. The car got a face lift for 1967, began being offered with a 426-inch Hemi V8 and became a severe pony car. The HemiCuda convertible is one of one of the most valuable cars within the world as it is so rare. Also, numerous want to get their hands on the Hemi 426 and 440s. Production was stopped in 1974.

Plymouth defeated

Since 2001, there has been no Plymouth brand. Bringing back the Barracuda would put it under the Dodge or Chrysler name. This would be the only option.
