Recall repairs almost finished says Toyota Motors

Toyota claims issues via recall nearly fixed

Toyota recently announced that the repairs via the recalls are nearly done. The series of recalls were quite the controversy. The automobile maker suffered within the court of popular opinion. The business has also come up with a fail-safe, which is reported to put a stop to unintended acceleration. The recalls over unintentional acceleration led to outrage via the community and severe questions about what Toyota Motors was doing.

Toyota recall almost over with

Nearly all of the recalled Toyota Motors vehicles are repaired, Toyota Motors announced. In 15 recalls, about 5 million auto repairs were done reports USA Today. About 3.9 million of all those recalled cars are repaired now. Toyota is almost done with the Toyota Motors floor mat recall. It is about 58 percent finished. That recall had a lot of people in it. There were 5.4 million automobiles recalled. The recall for the sticky gas pedal is about 80 percent finished now. The faulty brake pedal on 148,000 Toyota Prius and Lexus versions, because of a software glitch, is over 86 percent complete. The faulty automobiles are getting fixed by Toyota Motors. That does not stop the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration from coming in and doing an investigation on it.

Brand new models get bypass in it

To stop the runaway car scenario from taking place, Toyota has created a new idea. The company can be installing a brake override system. There are already brake overrides on 8 of 10 models manufactured under the Toyota Motors, Scion and Lexus banners. The override will automatically start if something is wrong. This is determined by the computer. Sudden braking can trigger the computer within the system to shut down. It also can be brought on by any kind of manner in which the computer senses the driver is trying to slow down the car in a panic. The accident recorder system is something Toyota has also improved upon.

Trying to fix public image

Toyota has been painted somewhat of a villain over the last year. Unintentional acceleration is a scary thing for a driver to experience. Toyota wants to repair the difficulties. It has worked hard to do so. Toyota hopes to avoid recalls within the future. It is also working to make customers feel safe again in its vehicles.
