Made over 20 years ago, “Top Gun” was considered a drama/romance. There is now an open discussion about creating “Top Gun 2.” Making the sequel to this film could mean large cash and big names. Possible ‘Top Gun 2′ from Paramount
A follow up called “Top Gun 2″ might come out. Paramount Pictures has begun this rumor. The film production company has reportedly pulled in Viacom executives. The film’s original producer and director, Jerry Burckheimer and Tony Scott, could be pulled in by Viacom so they would be the first to know. Christopher McQuarrie, who wrote the Tom Cruise vehicle “Valkyrie,” is rumored to have been tapped to write the script.
’Top Gun 2′ can use Cruise
The rumors of “Top Gun 2″ have had Tom Cruise in them. He already has been within the conversation. He will probably play “Maverick” if the movie ends up going through. Maverick, though, would not have the same top role within the “Top Gun 2″ film. Maverick would be an instructor. He’d be a flight instructor specifically. A la “Dirty Dancing 2,” the primary stars would make merely a bit of an appearance as a throwback to the original film.
’Top Gun 2′ may be a gossip, right?
Seems like that the gossip is just that, a gossip. That is what “Top Gun 2″ is right now. The New York Magazine accounts on this really issue. It says that it probably will emerge still. In July, just four months ago, Jerry Bruckheimer was asked about the possibility of directing a Top Gun 2 film. He just laughed at the question. He said a “Top Gun 2″ movie wouldn’t be coming. There has been a huge change in aviation training, based on Bruckheimer. He claims that it is not standard to have air-gun fights anymore. Numerous wonder if in-air training with live fire or gamer-like training with joysticks and computers will be what “Top Gun 2″ is all about. ”Top Gun 2″ might just be an additional ’80s remake. It could go straight to DVD too if this is the case.
