Strip club ATMs have no more welfare cash

Welfare money taken from strip club ATMs won’t be long for California once Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger enacts a total recall. The Los Angeles Times reports that more than $ 12,000 designated for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program, which is intended for welfare purposes, was withdrawn at various strip clubs across the state from 2007 to 2009. Clubs named within the California Department of Social Services investigation contain Sam’s Hofbrau, Seventh Veil and Star Strip.

Strip club ATMs are welfare sinks

It’s easy to visualize how strip club ATMs could be used in a less-than-responsible manner, considering that welfare recipients have families to take care of; Schwarzenegger feels this is just cause to terminate the source of supposedly “emergency money”. Quick TANF payday funds are accessible via ATM in over half of California’s casinos and poker rooms, writes the Times. Where TANF ATM locations should be located should be a rather common-sense problem, says Lizelda Lopez of California’s Social Services department.

Strip club ATMs? Managers didn’t know

Strip club managers who were willing to submit to interviews claim that they had no way of knowing the strip club ATMs were welfare approved. The third-party machines were provided via a California state contract with the Quest ATM network, although as Star Strip manager Joey Mancini put it, no Quest sticker indicating welfare quick cash status was affixed to his strip club’s ATM. Thus, Mr. Mancini insisted that California was wrong of accusing him of any wrongdoing, even though $ 1,265 TANF emergency cash til payday loan bucks were take in his club most recently.

Beware, strip club owners like Joey Mancini – Arnold will suffer no predators of the financially disadvantage in his state.
