There May Be Good Reasons To Get The Better Marriage Blanket

It’s hard to talk about the Better Marriage Blanket with a straight face. (I am guilty as charged for making jokes.) The use of the Better Marriage Blanket is to stay on top of odors caused by, let us say digestive unease. That would contain flatulence. It would be worth a little money now, if one or the other has legitimate digestive problems.

Better Marriage Blanket built to absorb odor

The Better Marriage Blanket, nicknamed the fart blanket, doesn’t exactly use new technology. There is a site for it at bettermarriageblanket.com. Part of the filler material is activated charcoal. Activated charcoal, or rather, activated carbon, is a treated form of carbon that absorbs certain elements very well, and is used in air and water filtration. It’s even in NASA space suits. That means this isn’t a joke – activated charcoal is a product that really works.

Are you just pulling my finger? I mean leg!

Though the Better Marriage Blanket is fodder for jokes, it certainly is not. Other products exist for the very same reason, like charcoal filter equipped underwear. (I mean for real.) One of the gases activated charcoal traps well is nitrogen, probably the most common gas in flatus. Activated charcoal tablets are really an old remedy for flatulence.

Not just for laughs

Digestive gas could be indicative of a larger problem. That consists of belching too. According to WebMD, excess gas, besides being socially embarrassing, and bloating due to excess gas can be signs of digestive difficulties, like acid reflux. Often, the cause is dietary, like a lactose intolerance or ingesting foods that are common causes, especially starches and carbohydrates. So perhaps next time keep away from excess cheese with your re-fried beans.
